Btw, shouldn't we better add new entries here at the end of the text? -- Prodatron 23:02, 9 August 2006 (CEST):Not really, old stuff is getting pushed to the bottom which is nice :) Gryzor 10:06, 10 August 2006 (CEST)----Hi, if I add a JPG with the '|thumb' command, it doesn't show on the page (e.g. CPC Schneider International). What am I doing wrong? --Octoate 01:02, 5 August 2006 (CEST):I also think, that the ==Moving "thumbrecent changes" feature is not working yet. -- Prodatron 03:18, 5 August 2006 (CEST): I'm having troubles with the permissions on the server. The Wiki needs the image folder to be chmod'ed to 777, but some of the subfolders do not have full access yet. I'm trying to chmod all of them, but how do I make sure that the newly created ones will be 777? Gryzor 08:38, 5 August 2006 (CEST)::if you need help or Shell-Access on the server to do chmod -r comands on dirs, just give me a call and i will set it up for you. Kangaroo MusiQue of HJT 09:27, 5 August 2006 (CEST):::Problem solved indeed :) Gryzor 16:38, 5 August 2006 (CEST)----Real names with the pseudonym? Shall we add the real names to the scene-informations as we know it? Maybe it's very helpfull to add the real name to remember the persons. So in my case i will add "Kangaroo MusiQue (Thorsten Norman Mitschele). What do you think about that? Kangaroo MusiQue of HJT 09:48, 5 August 2006 (CEST) :Well, absolutely, why not? I mean, there's nothing stopping you doing so anyway, and in general a real name would be welcome indeed, to go with the pseudonym... Maybe a photo too :)----Maybe its possible to make a list of all software-houses like Ocean, Alligata etc. Where we can add some nice informations about those companies?: You can actually add a link yourself. If you go into The Games section you can add a link about Software Houses and start adding. Maybe I will add it to the sidebar as well :) - Gryzor 22:35, 3 July 2006 (CDT)----Why does the crap keep getting posted at the bottom of the main page... bloody spammers! Executioner:Indeed... I have noticed your work (you always get to it faster than me!), and I really thank you for that. This is what you get for allowing posts without registering, but I think it's worth it continuing like this, at least for a while, and see how it goes... Thanks so much! Gryzor 02:16, 22 July 2006 (CDT)----I think it will be a good idea to do localisation. So i can add or translate Pages into german, cause my english writing is not that good as needed for the wiki. I'll do my best, but hey.. there are a few users around wich cannot write nor read english, so it will be a help for them. What do you think about localisation? Kangaroo MusiQue of HJT 09:31, 5 August 2006 (CEST)==
: Hi Themis - could you move the 'Recent Changes' stuff up towards the top of the lh navbar? It's the first thing I would be look at whenever I log onto a little bit afraid(MediaWiki-powered) wiki, that this could split up our forces, as and it is 's a lot additional work. Maybe people would start writing only in their native languages. Better PITA to have an article in bad english (which can be corrected by other people) than having to scroll down before I get to it only in a "local" language . Cheers --ChaRleyTroniC 17:07, 13 July 2006 (which can't be read by other peopleCDT). But that:Done! It's just my opinionthe first thing I look at as well, so it made sense, even though from an organisational point of view it belongs where it was before. -- .. oh well! :) ProdatronGryzor 1308:1245, 5 August 14 July 2006 (CESTCDT)
:: I have ==Moving the same opinion like Prodatron. It's much more work and both Wikis will be different. You can see an example for that situation on the GP2X Wiki and this device has a much bigger userbase. I guess the most common language should be used, so we should write greek.... aehm... english ;-). --Octoate 15:57, 5 August 2006 (CEST)search==
: I think this was discussed before... I'm not against content in other languages, but I'm worried this will lead field a bit more to lots the top of content being in French, German or Spanishthe left menu will be nice, hence for a limited audienceso its easier to search articles without scrolling around. So I was thinking Hope you can do that maybe PLEAAAASE :-) Kangaroo MusiQue of HJT 09:36, 5 August 2006 (CEST):That would be nice - I think it should be allowed as long as an english translation higher, too. The problem is provided. In any case, maybe we can allow it this has to do with the provision that this willskin, eventually, be translated. But if we see that no translations are done, then maybe and I'm not yet as comfortable with customising it shouldn't continue... if someone knows how, please step forward! Gryzor 16:3848, 5 August 2006 (CEST):: i dont think its clever to do it that way so it will be better to i now have only english as main language. moved the problem search field for the "monobook" template a bit up :) TO THE TOP :-D and leaved the searchfield at the bottom also will be. If you want, that i can delete the content will move away in different languages, so information will be vailable in german but are not search-field at the english bottom later, to get things a bit thinner. Kangaroo MusiQue of HJT 16:10, 14 August 2006 (CEST) ==Main page :== Yesterday, Kanga and so on. dont know me thought about how it can be handled to have everything with do a good entry point for the same content in different languages----articles of the Wiki and came to the conclusion that the main page wastes too much space and the sidebar gets too big. If it is ok, I will think it would be nice to have about a menu link to technical documentation new design of the main page during the weekend and sourcecode maybe prepare a first design under in the "Loose Lemmas" article. --Octoate 10:09, 11 August 2006 (routine collectionCEST) :Basically, I was thinking of creating text boxes on the left sidemain page. You then can put articles like That was my intention right from the beginning, and I thought I'Hardware scrollingd do it once there' in this categoriess enough stuff.I'm not too sure about how to shorten the sidebar, though.. . Gryzor 22:08, 11 August 2006 (CEST):: Just dont add the whole CPC Models again :-) summarize the stuff in "CPC-Models" and you won 4-Lines in the Side.Bar OctoateKangaroo MusiQue of HJT 1522:1420, 3 July 11 August 2006 (CDTCEST): That::Well, I know you's a really good idea - it re somewhat right, but I'd like to hope that by having them there would be nice motivate someone to be able to post source code herewrite something extensive on a single model...later on maybe I'll pull it in (probably two entries: CPC and CPC+/GX4000)... By the way, I've managed to tidy up the Sidebar a bit. --ChaRleyTroniCGryzor 1707:0012, 3 July 12 August 2006 (CDTCEST): Indeed it's a nice idea:::Seems, and I thought about it upon looking that we can be happy if someones writes an article for at least one model of the source code provided over at old generation CPCs ;-) As the Zonehardware is nearly the same between the first 3 models, I think one article should be enough. Will add a link when I get modified the sidebar a little bit and changed the font size of the "mono book" skin back from work to its correct size of 127%. -- Prodatron 18:47, 12 August 2006 (CEST)  I think we shouldn't copy the links in the sidebar on the main page. What's about sections like:* Welcome/Description* CPC scene news* CPCWiki related news* new articles (larger ones)* additional important links not listed in the sidebar-- GryzorProdatron 2217:3555, 3 July 13 August 2006 (CDTCEST)
